1) Mini Lesson

2) Read to Self

independent reading

- practice new introduced skills

- books chosen by students to match their current reading level

 

3) Read to Someone

- practice the introduced skill with partner

- gain experience reading out loud

- opportunity for students to be teachers to other students

 

4) Share Out

- evidence shared from books to show knowledge of what was taught

- children demonstrate their ability to be metacognitive

- all children have the opportunity to speak to what they are learning
